PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — Two children and an adult were injured during a two vehicle crash on U.S. 10 west of Meyers Road Tuesday afternoon. A witness told MCP he was traveling behind a westbound Ford Ranger when the vehicle appeared to lose control and cross the centerline near the east border of the Mason County Fairgrounds. The Ranger struck an eastbound Dodge Caravan minivan on the passenger side. The witness said he was traveling about 40 mph.

The Ranger was occupied only by its driver, an Amber Township resident. The Caravan was occupied by an adult female and three children. One of the children did not appeared to be injured. The impact caused one of the children to be pinned in the vehicle and required the Ludington Fire Department’s Jaws of Life hydraulic tools to extricate.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Pere Marquette Township Fire Department, Ludington Fire Department, Life EMS and Abrahamson’s Towing.

Sheriff’s deputies are currently investigating the crash.
