United Way accepting requests for proposals from non-profits.

unitedway_logoLUDINGTON — United Way of Mason County is accepting request for proposals (RFPs) for the 2016-2017 funding cycle (April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017) from local non-profit organizations that are focusing on helping children to achieve their potential and working with individuals and families to be financially stable and independent and improving people’s health.     

The RFP document can be accessed by going to www.uwmasoncounty.org and selecting the “forms” icon at the top of the page.  Also included, is an outline of the eligibility criteria, timeline flow chart and instructions for how to complete the proposal.   All proposals must be received by Tuesday, January 26, 2016 to be considered for funding.

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the United Way of Mason County office, 108 South Rath Avenue.  The purpose of the meeting will be to review the RFP process and answer questions.

“United Way of Mason County will use the dollars raised from this year’s campaign to award funds through the Request for Proposal process,” said Lynne Russell, executive director of United Way of Mason County. “To date, we have raised 62% of our $380,000.00 goal with pledges totaling $234,212.27.”
