79th District Court arraignments include absconding bond, home invasion

LUDINGTON — The following were arraigned recently in front of the 79th District Court magistrate:

Felonies

Monton

– Cara Antoinette Monton, 17, no address listed, was arrested Dec. 8 by the Ludington Police Department (LPD) for a felony of absconding/forfeiting bond. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. Bail: $50,000/cash/surety.

Hoggs

– Eric Zelek Hoggs, 39, of 724 E. Filer St., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 13 by LPD for a felony of interfering with electronic communications and a misdemeanor of domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 23 at 1:15 p.m. Bail: $10,000/cash/surety.

– Melissa Anne Brand-Ray, 49, of 2569 W. Kinney Rd., Riverton Township, was arrested Dec. 9 by the Hart post of the Michigan State Police (MSP) for felonies of second-degree home invasion and larceny in a building. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

Griffin

– Tyler Joel Griffin, 24, of 308 1/2 W. Court St., Ludington, was arrested Dec. 9 by the State, Sheriffs’, Chiefs’ Enforcement of Narcotics Team (SSCENT) for a felony of possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. Bail: $7,500/10 percent.

– Gregory Alan Tingay, 43, of 7082 N. US 31, Free Soil Township, was arrested Dec. 11 by SSCENT for felonies of maintaining a drug house and delivery of marijuana. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. Bail: $5,000/10 percent.

Misdemeanors

– Dustin Michael Jewett, 24, of 14 E. Filer St., Ludington; Dec. 10; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); driving while license suspended (DWLS). Pretrial: Dec. 21 at 10:15 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Tyler Raymond LaFrance, 22, of 347 Fourth St., Manistee; Dec. 9; MCSO; possession of marijuana. Pretrial: Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.

– Heather Kennedy Coleman, 52, of 5287 W. Hawley Rd., Riverton Township; MCSO; third-degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Jan. 4 at 9:45 a.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.

– Danyel Rebecca Horsley, 28, of 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 13, Pere Marquette Township; MCSO; receiving and concealing stolen property. Pretrial: Jan. 4 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $2,500/personal.
