79th District Court sentencings, dismissals

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Avel Molina Escamilla, 53, of 5634 W. Johnson Rd., Amber Township, was found guilty Nov. 2 of disorderly person – drunk and sentenced to 15 days in jail with credit for four days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; $285 in fines and costs; and no alcohol/drugs; must attend AA twice a week; and random preliminary breath tests (PBTs).

– Jessie Curt Stickney, 36, of 815 E. Loomis St., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 2 of disorderly person/disturbing the peace. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served and $285 in fines and costs.

– James Richard Brichan, 48, of 1508 Born Trail #260, Lansing, was found guilty Nov. 2 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $335 in fines and costs.

– Rachael Joy-Kraai VanOrder, 34, of 42 W. Dewey Rd., Apt. 3, Victory Township, was found guilty Nov. 2 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for one day served; $285 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Joshua Delannie Hudson, 25, of 6629 Sally Ct., Flint, was found guilty Oct. 30 of allowing a person to drive in violation and sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year and $325 in fines and costs.

– Dayna Sue Turk, 32, of 3114 N. Amber Rd., Victory Township, was found guilty Oct. 26 of second-degree retail fraud (shoplifting). She was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $738 in fines and costs.

Dismissals

– Denyse Dale Willoughby, 40, of 209 S. Bean, Custer Township, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 30. “Defendant’s motion for dismissal is granted with prejudice,” court records state.

– Jason Michael Perrone, 32, of 580 W. Marrison Rd., Riverton Township, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 30. “Defendant’s motion for dismissal is granted without prejudice,” court records state.

– Thomas Ray Stimes, 43, of 7056 Donna Rd., Branch Township, one count of domestic violence was dismissed Oct. 23. “Case cannot be proved beyond a reasonable doubt,” his court file states.

– Sara Marie Maccune, 24, of 2355 N. 28th St., Sheridan Township, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security (insurance) was dismissed Oct. 30. “The interests of justice do not require further prosecution of this matter,” according to court records.

– Thomas Leroy Rees, 26, of 5988 W. Sixth St., Ludington, one count of malicious destruction of personal property was dismissed Oct. 29. “Restitution has been paid in full. The ends of justice do not require further prosecution of this matter,” court records state.

– Dayna Marie Birdsall, 41, of 2241 W. 24th St., Baldwin, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security (insurance) was dismissed Oct. 29. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge.”

– Ryan Keith Shurlow, 23, of 3811 N. US-31, Victory Township, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security (insurance) was dismissed Oct. 29. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge.”
