Veterans honored at Optimist luncheon; special program Monday at MCC.

Nine World War II veterans attended Wednesday’s program.

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Optimist Club honored area veterans today by serving them lunch. The free lunch was attended by over 70 veterans, including nine veterans from World War II.

On Monday, Nov. 9, the Mason County Allied Veterans Council and the Mason County Central Middle School student body will hold a Veterans Day program (two days early) beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the school. The public is welcome to attend.

Veterans wishing to attend should arrive at 7:15 a.m. for a reception in room 125. The event includes a lunch for veterans from 11:25 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
