SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Clown Band recently donated $500 to the fundraising campaign to raise money to secure classroom doors in Mason County. The donation will purchase The Boot security devices for the interior doors of the band rooms at Mason County Central high school and middle school.

“On behalf of the Clown Band, I would like to challenge other local organizations to help raise funds for this project,” said Jim Lindenau, president of the Clown Band. “The Clown Band chose to donate to MCC because Scottville is our home base and we also utilize the band rooms for our rehearsals. Our organization and the local schools have had a long relationship going back almost 70 years.”
