SCOTTVILLE — Three people have applied to be considered for the vacant at-large commissioner seat left by the resignation of Don Pasco last month. The three applicants include former mayor Bruce Krieger, business owner Sally Cole and resident Bruce Claveau.

Krieger, a retired Mason County Central High School teacher, served on the commission from 1971 to 1978, serving as mayor from 1975 to 1978. He also has managed Riverside Park in the 1980s and has served on several city boards. Cole owns Cole’s Antique Villa on North Main Street. She currently serves on the city’s planning commission and downtown development authority. Claveau is currently not active on any city boards but has attended several commission meetings recently.

The commission is expected to discuss the applicants and possibly take action during its regular meeting today, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at city hall, 105 N. Main St.
