Obituary: Craig Petersen, 58, Ludington.

Craig R. Petersen, aged 58 of Ludington, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home. Craig was born on January 12, 1957 in Ludington, the son of George R. and Jeanette E. Petersen and graduated from Ludington High School with the class of 1975. Craig, along with his brother George, operated Petersen Furniture, later called Petersen Manufacturing in Ludington which carried on the business started by their parents. Craig also managed several properties in the Ludington area. He loved being outdoors and was often involved in any activity that involved a motor and power. His warm personality surrounded him with many friends. Craig had great affection for animals of all kinds, but was especially drawn to dogs. Whatever the animal was, they would immediately warm up to Craig and respond to his commands. 

Craig was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew George Petersen III. He will be greatly missed by his sister Pam Petersen-Christner and her husband Robert Christner of Las Vegas, NV, his brother George R. Petersen and his wife Kathryn of Ludington, his nieces Wendy (Kevin) Healy and Polly (Tim) Myer all of Ludington, and Heidi (Michael Maksymetz) Nagel of Lowell, his aunts Lillian (Frank) Keating and Catherine Tomczak both of Ludington, and his uncle Frank Petersen also of Ludington.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Saturday, September 19 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Stephens Funeral Home of Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services in Scottville.
