“MCC is a vital part of Scottville and we are happy to recognize it with this honor,” said Scottville City Manager Amy Williams, who volunteers on the festival committee. “Besides being our largest employer, MCC has always been very supportive of the city. We have a great partnership with the school and it is very deserving of this honor. I look forward to many more years of partnering to make Scottville the best it can be.

Mason County Central Schools began as Scottville High School in 1888. The current high school and lower elementary were built in the 1950s while the middle school was built in 1976 and the upper elementary school was built within the past 10 years. The original high school still stands by is now privately owned. The school district owns several acres of land within the city limits.
