LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

Bruce L. Wemple, 51, of 8888 E. Barothy Rd., Branch Township, was found guilty Aug. 11 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $870 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP). Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Jonathan Wilbur Tolin, 36, of 1525 W. Countyline Rd., Apt. 38, Grant Township, was found guilty Aug. 11 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; work release allowed; $905 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment – substance abuse and couple counseling; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests; must attend AA two times per week for two years; and no contact with the victim.
