LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:
– Ronald Duane Dice, Jr., 42, of 175 E. Millerton Rd., Victory Township, was found guilty June 17 of second-offense operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; $1,863 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have GPS monitoring system installed for 30 days; outpatient counseling; random preliminary breath tests (PBTs) and drug tests. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of possession of analogues dismissed.

– Albert Jia Ho, 33, of 4807 S. Ashland Ave., Apt 201, Chicago, was found guilty June 23 of malicious destruction of property (MDOP). He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $644 in fines, costs and resitution; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.

– Jordan Jacob Stein, 18, of 222 E. Elm St., Fremont, was found guilty June 23 of MDOP. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 27 days served; $730 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. One count of larceny by conversion $200-$1,000 was dismissed.

– Clinton Duane Franklin, 38, of 8486 N. Custer Rd., Free Soil Township, was found guilty June 16 of second-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; $889.35 in fines, costs and restitution; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs and drug tests. One count of receiving and concealing stolen property less than $200 was dismissed.

– Joshua Robert Whitman, 22, of 314 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty June 18 of disorderly person – urinating in public and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.

– Jack Daniel Willoughby, 20, of 410 N. Delia At., Apt. 2, Ludington, was found guilty June 16 of possession or marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted after 30 days; one year discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs and drug tests; and $858 in fines and costs. One count of possession of narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams was dismissed.

– Jamus Joseph Johnson, 36, of 1008 N. William St., Ludington, was found guilty June 16 of disorderly person – jostling. He was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; $730 in fines and costs; and must maintain employment. One count of aggravated domestic assault was dismissed.

– William Mathias Wahr, 24, of 4295 W. Fox Farm Rd., Manistee, was found guilty June 16 of second-offense operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $710 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; and subject to all provisions of Benzie County Sobriety Court. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Randall Scott Wood, 47, of 216 Henry St., Flushing, was found guilty June 18 of unattended fishing means or device; lines; hooks; tip up or similar device and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.

– Richard James Davis, 26, of 5756 Third St., Mears, was found guilty June 1 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and $275 in fines and costs.

– Mark John Thibert, 37, of 203 S. Washington Ave., Apt. 4, Ludington, was found guilty June 16 of false report of a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; $198 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. One count of false report of a felony was dismissed.

Dismissals
– Chancey Norman Medema, Jr., 41, of 9184 E. Kinney Rd., Branch Township, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed June 17. “Defendant has purchased insurance and is compliant. The ends of justice do not require further prosecution in this matter,” court records state.

– Jessica Ann Woodring, 22, of 181 E. Conrad Rd., Custer Township, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed June 17. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.

– Heidi Lee Woods, 35, of 5453 S. Broadway Ave., Idlewild, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed June 17. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.

– Richard James Davis, 26, of 5756 Third St., Mears, one count of DWLS was dismissed June 17. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.

– Raymond Harold Snay, Jr., 48, no address listed, one count of failure to comply with sex offender registration was dismissed June 16. “The people are no longer able to prove this offense,” court records state.

– Amber Rose Minga, 26, of 575 Oak St., Baldwin, one count of operating a motor vehicle without security was dismissed June 17. “Defendant pleaded to a lesser charge,” court records state.
