Crashes keep police busy

The following is local enforcement activity from Monday, May 4, 2015:

– 12:20 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injuries, Morton and Marrison, Riverton Twp.

– 1:35 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), suspicious situation, 5000 block of W. King Dr.

– 7:33 a.m., (LPD), malicious destruction of property (MDOP), 500 block of E. Dowland St.

– 10:07 a.m., (Michigan State Police, Hart post), car-turkey crash, US-31 and Pere Marquette Hwy., PM Twp.

– 12:31 p.m., (MSP), a 52-year-old Branch man was cited for no security and failure to transfer a license plate, US-31 and Free Soil Rd., Free Soil Twp.

– 3:59 p.m., (MCSO), three-vehicle crash with injuries, US-10 and Meyers, Amber Twp. The crash occurred when a 39-year-old Fountain woman, traveling westbound on US-10, disregarded a traffic light and struck a northbound vehicle on Meyers Road. That vehicle then struck a third vehicle. The 39-year-old Fountain woman and her 11-year-old passenger both received minor injuries as well as three people in the third vehicle, who are all from Ludington. A 52-year-old Fountain man, the driver of the northbound vehicle, was arrested for second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS). Related story here

– 6:29 p.m., (MSP), car-turkey crash, Hansen and Gordon, Amber Twp.

– 7:43 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injuries, Jebavy and Bryant, PM Twp.

– 8:36 p.m., (MCSO), a 26-year-old Scottville man was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear (FTA) on an original charge of breaking and entering, 100 block of W. Dewey, Victory Twp.

– 9:41 p.m., (MSP), one-car property damage accident, 2000 block of Sugar Grove Rd., Victory Twp.

– 9:54 p.m., (MSP), fraud complaint, 5000 block of W. Deren, Summit Twp.
