79th District Court sentencings

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced recently in 79th District Court:

– Antonio Jesus Gonzales, 27, of 1133 Hazel Rd., Hart, was found guilty March 4 of one count of controlled substance, possession of marijuana; two counts of controlled substance, use of a narcotic/cocaine/methamphetamine/ecstasy; and one count of controlled substance use (non-narcotic). He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for two days served; driver’s license suspended 180 days/restricted 150 days; $1,655 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; and must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations. Two counts of controlled substance possession, narcotic or cocaine less than 25 grams and one count of controlled substance, possession of analogues, were dismissed.

– Lee Benzon Hawkins, 60, of 212 Thornwild Dr., Apt. A3, Scottville, was found guilty March 2 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; must report to jail June 2 unless he completes  Impact Weekend and follows recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); $2,430 in fines and costs; and outpatient treatment. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

– Dawn Marie Silvers, 48, of 401 W. Third St., Apt. 417, Scottville, was found guilty March 3 of operating while intoxicated. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,200 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; outpatient treatment/must attend current counseling with an added substance abuse component; must attend the next session of  Victims’ Impact Panel (VIP); and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .17 or more/super drunk and one count of driver transporting open intoxicants were dismissed.

– Andrea Ann Zwalesky, 40, of 7516 High Ridge Rd., Kaleva, was found guilty Feb. 25 of check – non-sufficient funds over $100/less than $500. She was sentenced to $567.67 in restitution; $655 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for one year; and must not have a checking account for one year. One count of check – non-sufficient funds, three within 10 days was dismissed.

– Autumn Lanne Jourden, 23, of 4716 Beaune Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 24 of assault and battery. She was sentenced to $665 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend anger management counseling and follow recommendations; and no contact with victim. A second count of assault and battery was dismissed.

– Jason L. Carr, 30, of 1485 Betty Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 25 of larceny more than $200/less than $1,000. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail;; one year discretionary jail for one year; and $255 in fines and costs.One count of larceny in a building was dismissed.

– Domonic Christopher Bell, 20, of 4929 E. US-10, Custer, was found guilty Feb. 12 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.

– Denise Lynn Wright, 43, of 1226 N. Jebavy Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 12 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
