U.S. 31 head-on crash

VICTORY TWP. — Two people were injured Thursday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 31 between Decker and Sugar Grove roads. According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a northbound Ford Escort attempted to turn left into the path of a southbound minivan. The driver of the Escort was a 42-year-old Scottville woman while the driver of the minivan was a 38-year-old Filer City woman.

Responding to the crash, in addition to MCSO was Scottville Fire Dept. and Life EMS.

The crash was originally called in as a car vs. semi crash near Hansen Road.
