Crash on U.S. 10-31

us10_crash_020315AMBER TWP. — Two people were transported to the hospital following a two vehicle crash on U.S. 10-31 in front of the Meijer store Tuesday about 7 p.m. The vehicle involved a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Mercury Sable.

us10_crash_021315The Sable was driven by an 86-year-old man. The age and gender of the driver of the other vehicle is unknown at this time. The Santa Fe appeared to have two passengers in addition to the driver. The Sable, which appeared to have been rear-ended, was driven into the Meijer gas station while the Santa Fe was on the curb facing west.

Responding to the scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Pere Marquette Twp. Fire Dept., Ludington Fire Dept. and Life EMS ambulance.

Snow started falling about 6:30 p.m.
