The BringChange2Mind Facebook page is dedicated to fighting stigma regarding mental health conditions and also raising awareness to everyday mental health issues.  A recent post reminds us that the mere action of hugging another person provides a boost to our physical health and mental wellbeing.  Touching another person lowers our heart rate, blood pressure, and levels of cortisol, a stress hormone.  This holiday season when you spend time with friends and loved ones, don’t be stingy with the hugs.
