Ludington man sent to prison for third-offense domestic violence

LUDINGTON — A 40-year-old Ludington man was sentenced to three to 10 years in a Michigan Department of Corrections prison Tuesday, Dec. 9, in 51st Circuit Court for third-offense domestic violence.

Adam Wayne Nelson, of 503 First St., was found guilty by a jury, Nov. 20. He was also convicted by the court of habitual offender, third offense. Judge Richard I. Cooper ordered that he pay $2,000 in court costs, along with $198 in fees and additional costs.

Nelson, who was given credit for 25 days served in jail, was arrested April 25 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.
