Man relieving himself lands in jail; several arrested over weekend

LUDINGTON — A 46-year-old Flushing man chose to relieve himself in the wrong place at the wrong time last Thursday evening and ultimately ended up in jail. Mason County Sheriff’s Office marine patrol along with U.S. Coast Guard personnel were at the Ludington Municipal Marina at 11:58 July 3 investigating a boater under the influence of alcohol. While conducting the investigation the subject in question urinated off the dock in front of officers and bystanders. He fled on foot but was captured a short distance. He was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting and opposing arrest.

• 12:53 a.m.: Larceny of a bicycle, 5700 block of Limouze Rd., Pere Marquette Twp. A purple and white 18-speed girls Road Master was stolen form the residence.
• 5:10 a.m.: One vehicle hit and run crash, no injuries, Amber and Johnson roads, Amber Twp. A 43-year-old Custer woman was cited for failure to report crash as a result.
• 8:48 a.m.: Unwanted person call, 9400 block of East U.S. 10, Branch Twp. Subjected escorted off property.
• 11:16 a.m.: A 37-year-old Custer woman was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Tuttle Rd., Custer Twp.
• 12:27 p.m.: Breaking and entreating, 600 block of West Chauvez Rd., Riverton Twp.
• 3 p.m.: Two-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Meyers Rd., Pere Marquette Twp.
• 5:01 p.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 west of Jebavy Dr., P.M. Twp. A 25-year-old Baldwin man was cited for hit and run following the crash.
• 11:37 p.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Brye Rd., Amber Twp.

July 4, 2014: 

• 1:30 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Hawley and Stiles roads, Riverton Twp.
• 3:57 a.m.: A 17-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for no driver’s license following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Meyers Rd., P.M. Twp.
• 11:31 a.m.: A 35-year-old Custer woman was arrested for domestic assault in the 3500 block of North Reed Rd., Sherman Twp.
• 2:40 p.m.: A 23-year-old Scottville man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Custer and Johnson roads.
• 7:59 p.m.: A 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Jackson Rd.

– 8:48 p.m.: A 19-year-old LaGrange, Ind. man was arrested for operating while intoxicated first offense and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at Jebavy Dr. and Hazelwood Rd., P.M. Twp.

• 11:28 p.m.: One vehicle crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Amber Rd., Amber Twp.

July 5, 2014: 

• 1:56 a.m.: A 25-year-old Ypsilanti man was arrested for OWI second offense following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Tuttle Rd., The driver was clocked by radar traveling 97 mph in a 55 mph zone on U.S. 10.
• 7:27 p.m.: A 40-year-old Muskegon woman was cited for open intoxicants following a traffic stop at Lakeshore Dr. and Sugar Grove Rd., Hamlin Twp.

• 7:30 p.m.: A 41-year-old Ludington man was arrested for DWLS second arrest following a traffic stop at Dewey and Sherman roads, Hamlin Twp.
• 8:24 p.m.: A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested for OWI second arrest following a traffic stop at Jagger Rd. near Lincoln Rd., Hamlin Twp.
• 9:58 p.m.: Marine assist, towed boat, Hamlin Lake, Hamlin Twp.

• 12:58 a.m.: A 48-year-old Scottville man was arrested for DWLS second arrest following a traffic stop at Chilberg and Amber roads, Amber Twp.
• 3:37 a.m.: A 17-year-old Ludington man was cited for no driver’s license following a traffic stop at Pere Marquette Hwy. and Conrad Rd., P.M. Twp.
• 7:02 p.m.: Gas drive off of $17.07 Wesco East, 5600 block of West U.S. 10, P.M. Twp.
