Domestic assault among weekend arrests

HAMLIN TWP. — A 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested by deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office Saturday night for domestic assault. The arrest took place in the 2100 block of North Jebavy Drive following a 911 call to a Hamlin Township residence.

Other activity of the sheriff’s office for the weekend follows:

June 20, 2014:

– 10:10 a.m.: A 50-year-old Free Soil man was lodged in the Mason County Jail on a probation violation charge. Deputies are seeking charges of failure to verify address as a sex offender.

– 11 a.m.: A hit and run crash occurred on U.S. 10 and U.S. 31 southbound expressway ramp, Amber Township. A vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Ludington man was struck by a second vehicle which was attempting a U-turn on U.S. 10. The second vehicle fled the scene.

– 3:55 p.m.: 3-vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Jebavy Dr., Pere Marquette Twp.

– 4:12 p.m.: Gas drive off of $26.58 at Airport Shell gas station, P.M. Twp.

– 6:39 p.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Jebavy Dr., P.M. Twp.

– 11:27 p.m.: Threats complaint, 300 block of South Meyers Rd., Amber Twp. Case closed.

June 21, 2014:

– 2:24 a.m.: Assault, Baymont Inn parking lot, 400 block of West U.S. 10-31, Amber Twp. Victim reportedly was punched by unknown man while in parking lot.

– 6:05 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Lakeshore Dr. and Wisconsin St., Hamlin Twp.

– 7 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Fountain and Anderson roads, Victory Twp.

– 9:59 a.m.: Damaged property complaint, 3500 block of North Dee Allen Dr., Sheridan Twp.

– 10 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Hoague roads, Grant Twp.

June 22, 2014:

– 3:19 a.m.: A 19-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant out of Oceana County following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and U.S. 31, Amber Twp.

– 5:23 a.m.: Alarm activation, 200 block of South Jackson Rd., P.M. Twp.

– 7:50 a.m.: Alarm activation, 500 block of North Main St., Custer Twp.

– 1:12 p.m.: A 38-year-old Fountain man was arrested for retail fraud second arrest, 3900 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 2:03 a.m.: A 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Manistee County failure to appear warrant following a traffic stop at Loomis and Harrison streets, City of Ludington.
