SCOTTVILLE — Law enforcement officials are searching for a female suspect who allegedly robbed the Admiral gas station, 130 W. State St., early this morning.

At 2:37 a.m. Mason County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a robbery call at the gas station located at the corner of State St (U.S. 10) and Reinberg Ave. Sheriff Kim Cole said the gas station is open 24 hours. A female, described to be between 5-feet and 5-feet, 4-inches, came in wearing a hooded sweatshirt. “She told the clerk not to call 911 for five minutes or there were people waiting outside who would do harm to him,” Cole said.

“Responding deputies secured the scene and MCSO K-9 Cash was called in to track the suspect who was last seen on foot heading west from the business,” Cole said. “Cash did run a successful track to a location west of the scene.”

No weapon was displayed and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, the sheriff said.

“The suspect concealed her identity but is believed to be a female.”

MCSO is still on the scene and Scottville Police Dept. is assisting in the investigation.
