3 sentenced this week in 51st Circuit Court

LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday:

Benjamin

Benjamin

– Albert Eugene Benjamin, 41, of 605 Seventh St., Ludington, was found guilty April 15 of attempted failure to register. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for 88 days served; serve 90 days forthwith (already served); serve 77 days on electronic tether at own expense; 18 months probation; and $598 in fines and costs. One count of failure to register and one count of habitual offender, fourth conviction were dismissed.

Winningham

Winningham

– Chad Michael Winningham, 40, of 780 W. Kirby Rd., Battle Creek, was found guilty April 22 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), third offense. He was sentenced to 330 days in jail with credit for 60 days served; serve seven months up front; balance to be served at the court’s discretion; after serving six months in jail, may be released to substance abuse inpatient treatment; 18 months probation; 60 days community service; and $1,048 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Crawford

Crawford

– Nolan Lee Crawford, 38, of 3624 E. First St., Custer, was found guilty of OUIL, second offense and pleaded no contest to fourth-degree fleeing a police officer. He was sentenced to two concurrent jail terms of 330 days with credit for one day served; serve one month up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 30 days community service; work release authorized if it meets the Manistee County Sheriff’s Office guidelines; 90 days Soberlink; and $1,943 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of third-degree fleeing a police officer and one count of habitual offender, second offense, were dismissed.
