LUDINGTON — Police arrested fugitives Tyler Joel Griffin, 22, and Kayleigh Lynn Clark, 25 this afternoon at an apartment at 308 W. Court St. The two were wanted on warrants from Mason and Oceana counties.

Police have been searching for the duo since they were spotted Saturday near House of Flavors Restaurant on Ludington Avenue. After making eye contact with officers, they took off and headed toward House of Flavors, entering the restaurant and the ice cream plant.

This afternoon, officers from Ludington Police Department, Mason County Sheriff’s Office and SSCENT (State, Sheriff, Chief Enforcement Narcotics Team) executed search warrants at the apartment. Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett said the two were taken into custody without incident and brought to Mason County Jail. He said the suspects indicated that because Facebook posts and web posts on Mason County Press and other media, they were under a lot of pressure.

The two have a long criminal history.

Griffin is wanted on a felony home invasion warrant from Oceana County along with a misdemeanor stolen property warrant from Mason County. In November, Griffin was found guilty in 79th District Court of driving while his license was suspended. On April 2, 2013, he was found guilty in 79th District Court for trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. In January 2013 he was found guilty for DWLS.

Clark is wanted on two misdemeanor warrants from Mason County for failure to appear in court. In November 2013 she was found guilty in 79th District Court for second degree retail fraud and larceny of less than $100.

In April 2013 she was found guilty of DWLS and also for having an improper vehicle registration. In January 2013 she was found guilty of trespassing.
