Man arrested for writing bad checks

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 31-year-old Ludington man on an outstanding warrant for non-sufficient fund check out of Manistee County Tuesday morning. The man was arrested following a traffic stop at Pere Marquette Highway and Conrad Road at 2:50 a.m.

Other activity of the sheriff’s office for Tuesday, May 27, 2014 included:

  • 5:40 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Stephens Rd., Custer Twp.
  • 1:48 p.m.: Warrant requested for a 19-year-old Ludington man in connection to retail fraud complaint at Wal-Mart, P.M. Twp.
  • 5:10 p.m. A 31-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two failure to appear warrants from Ludington Police Dept. The arrest took place at Hidden Forest modular home park in Amber Twp.
  • 7:58 p.m.: Domestic situation, 2900 block of West Kinney Rd., Riverton Twp. Report forwarded to prosecutor’s office.
