May 26, 2014

Ludington_Some_GaveAll_LogoLUDINGTON — The Ludington Area Jaycees have announced the winner of the 2014 Freedom Festival logo contest. The logo designed by Tim McKinney of Custer was chosen by the Freedom Festival Planning Committee as the winning entry in the 2014 Freedom Festival Logo Contest. McKinney’s logo design will be featured on the Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival T-shirts, as well as, other promotional materials throughout the Freedom Festival.

“I am thrilled to showcase Tim’s design on the Freedom Festival T-Shirts and other Freedom Festival promotional materials this year,” said 2014 Freedom Festival t-shirt sales/grand parade/fireworks display chairwoman Jamie Spore. “Tim’s design is a perfect depiction of the 2014 Freedom Festival Theme, ‘Some gave all.’ The logo design is a wonderful illustration of the ultimate sacrifices that many selfless individuals, including our 2014 Freedom Festival Grand Marshal, deceased Michigan State Police Trooper Paul K. Butterfield II, make in order to defend, protect, and preserve our freedom. I am so excited to have Tim’s design to represent the Freedom Festival this year.”

The 2014 Freedom Festival t-shirts are sponsored by West Shore Bank, Spectrum Health-Ludington Hospital, Sportsman’s Restaurant & Irish Pub, FloraCraft, House of Flavors, Barley & Rye, Advance America Cash Advance, and Monkey Business.

The 2014 Ludington Area Jaycees Freedom Festival T-shirts will be available to purchase, for $10 per t-shirt, at the Summer Kick-Off Concert on Wednesday, June 11th, 2014.
