Police searching for suspects wanted on outstanding warrants

LUDINGTON — Police are searching for two suspects with outstanding warrants who were seen in downtown Ludington this afternoon. The suspects, Tyler Joel Griffin, 22, and Kayleigh Lynn Clark, 25, both of Ludington, were spotted at 1:40 p.m. by a Ludington police officer walking near House of Flavors Restaurant on Ludington Avenue. After making eye contact with officers, they took off and headed toward House of Flavors.

Ludington Police Sgt. David Maltbi said Griffin ran into House of Flavors Restaurant while Clark ran into the ice cream manufacturing plant, adjacent to the restaurant.

The duo then left the facilities. They are now being searched for by LPD and Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

The two have a long criminal history.

Griffin is wanted on a felony home invasion warrant from Oceana County along with a misdemeanor stolen property warrant from Mason County. In November, Griffin was found guilty in 79th District Court of driving while his license was suspended. On April 2, 2013, he was found guilty in 79th District Court for trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days in jail. In January 2013 he was found guilty for DWLS.

Clark is wanted on two misdemeanor warrants from Mason County for failure to appear in court. In November 2013 she was found guilty in 79th District Court for second degree retail fraud and larceny of less than $100.

In April 2013 she was found guilty of DWLS and also for having an improper vehicle registration. In January 2013 she was found guilty of trespassing.
