42-year-old Scottville man arrested for leaving scene of a crash

mcso_logoSHERMAN TWP. — Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 42-year-old Scottville man Friday for leaving the scene of a crash. The crash occurred at 11:12 a.m. at Custer and Mavis roads.The man was also charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

May 2, 2014:

  • 5:45 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Townline roads, Grant Twp.
  • 1:43 a.m.: Gas drive off of $48.84, Airport EZ Mart, U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Twp.
  • 1:57 p.m.: Three abandoned vehicle inspections, Abrahamson Towing, P.M. Twp.
  • 3:40 p.m.: Motorist assist, Nelson and Lawndale roads, P.M. Twp.
  • 9:01 p.m.: A 17-year-old Manistee woman was cited for minor in possession of tobacco following a traffic stop at Chauvez and Schwass roads, Riverton Twp.
  • 9:11 p.m.: An 18-year-old Ludington man was arrested for retail fraud and possession of marijuana following a complaint at the Meijer Store on U.S. 10 in Amber Twp.

 

May 3, 2014:

  • 12:33 a.m.: A 47-year-old Scottville man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop at Pere Marquette Hwy. and Iris Rd. P.M. Twp.
  • 1:43 a.m.: Assist to Michigan State Police, Ford Lake area, Sheridan Twp.
  • 8 a.m.: 1 vehicle crash with injuries, private property in the 2300 block of North Sherman Rd., Hamlin Twp. A 19-year-old Scottville driver was attempting to secure his safety belt and struck a tree, causing injuries to a 20-year-old female passenger.
  • 9:45 a.m.: A 19-year-old Scottville man was arrested at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital, City of Ludington, on an outstanding Mecosta County warrant related to possession of marijuana.
  • 12:46 p.m.: Suspicious situation, 100 block of East Broadway, City of Scottville. Case closed.
  • 4:31 p.m.: Alarm activation, 2000 block of Forest Trail, Grant Twp.
  • 7:10 p.m.: A 28-year-old Custer man was cited for driving while license suspended following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Brye Rd., Amber Twp.
  • 7:28 p.m.: Malicious destruction of property, 5700 block of West Johnson Rd., P.M. Twp. Child throwing rocks at passing vehicles.

 

May 4, 2014

  • 1:09 a.m.: MDOP to a vehicle, Mason County Eastern High School parking lot, Village of Custer. Rear window of a vehicle was broken out with a hammer. Warrant requested.
  • 5:27 p.m.: Alarm activation, 1000 block of Old Free Soil Rd., Grant Twp.
  • 9:37 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Lakeshore and Abrahmason roads, Hamlin Twp.
