Library spring break activities

Several activities are taking place this week at the Scottville and Ludington branches of the Mason County District Library.

Tuesday, April 1, 6 p.m.: Crafters are invited to the West Shore Bank Room at Ludington Library to create greeting cards.  This activity is open to adults only.  There is a limit of 20 participants.  Supplies are provided at no charge, but donations are appreciated.

Tuesday, April 1, 3 p.m.: Family Fun Craft series features celebration plates.  Families are invited to drop in any time between 3 to 5:30 p.m. and get creative. Coming up:  May 6 – Summer Serving Trays.  Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.  All Mason County District Library programs are free of charge.   Family Craft – first Tuesday – 3 to 6 p.m. at Scottville library.

Wednesday, April 2, 4 p.m. (and the first Wednesday of every month), Discovery Club for children ages 2 to 5 in Ludington. Retired teacher Kathy Radtke will lead students as they explore our world through books, games, art, and other activities.  For the 2013-2014 school year, the theme is Discovering Michigan.

This Wednesday explore the 5-mile long bridge that connects Michigan’s upper and lower peninsulas.  Build your own replica of the Mackinac Bridge. Snack provided
