LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced March 4 in 51ST Circuit Court:

Robert Cook

                      Robert Joe Cook, 58, of 7932 E. Anthony Rd., Branch, was found guilty Jan. 7 of operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), third offense. He was sentenced to 270 days in jail with credit for five days served; serve 90 days up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion; work release allowed; 60 days community service; Interlock or Immobilization after release from jail; $1,098 in fines and costs; and two years probation. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS), second offense, was dismissed.

                      Stephen Ray Legrand II, 45, of 1185 11 Mile Rd., Remus, was found guilty Jan. 7 of OUIL, third offense. He was sentenced to 330 days in jail with credit for seven days served; serve five months in jail and then transfer to a residential treatment center; upon successful completion of treatment center, credit will be given for five months; if unsuccessful, must serve remainder of five months in jail; Immobilization for one year; must have Interlock device; $1,098 in fines and costs; and two years probation. Conviction reportable to SOS.
