HART — Over the past two years Mason County Press has seen tremendous growth. Last year we ended our year with over 1 million page views for 2013. Late in the year we launched Manistee County Press. Now, it’s time to bring free online news to our friends and neighbors to the south. Introducing Oceana County Press.

While we are still in search of an editor for Manistee County Press, I am excited to announce that we have an editor on board to lead the OCP. Allison Scarbrough is no stranger to news in Oceana County. Allison worked several years as a reporter for the weekly newspaper here. Now, she’s ready to take her skills into the 21st century and bring the residents of Oceana County the quality of news that Mason County residents have come to expect out of Mason County Press.

As you are likely aware, we can bring you these services free because of the generosity of our advertisers and personal contributors. As our advertising base increases we will be able to bring you more news and more information.
