Wind chills may reach -20 tonight

superior electric 250The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a winter weather advisory from 9 p.m. tonight until 3 p.m. Thursday. The advisory calls for blowing snow and bitter cold wind chills. One to 4 inches of snow is expected late tonight through mid-day Thursday with wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph tonight. Wind chill readers may reach -20 late tonight into Thursday morning.

Today, expect wind, snow flurries and possibly snow showers throughout the day today with a high temperature of 15 degrees F. Winds will be west-southwest at 20 to 30 mph.

Tonight, windy with snow showers overnight, 2 to 4 inches expected. Low of 9 F. Winds will be west-northwest at 20 to 30 mph.

Thursday, windy with occasional snow showers, very cold with a high of 9 F. Winds, north-northwest at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow, 80% with about an inch accumulating.
