BALDWIN — Ludington resident Julie Sherlock was the recipient of the Giant Award Sunday during Lake County’s Martin Luther King celebration. Sherlock has taught K-6 music at Baldwin Public Schools for the past eight years.

“I really work hard to embrace the diversity in the community,” Sherlock said. In addition to her paid teaching position, Sherlock also volunteers leading a 55-voice choir for fourth through sixth graders and also a 20 member drumming ensemble.
