United Way accepting proposals

unitedway_logoLUDINGTON — United Way of Mason County is accepting requests (RFP) for proposals for the 2014-2015 funding cycle, April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015, from local non-profit organizations that are focusing on helping children to achieve their potential and working with individuals and families to be financially stable and independent and improving people’s health.

The RFP document can be accessed by going to www.uwmasoncounty.org and selecting the “forms” icon at the top of the page.  Also included, is an outline of the eligibility criteria, time line flow chart and instructions for how to complete the proposal.   All proposals must be received by Thursday, December 19, 2013 to be considered for funding.

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the United Way of Mason County office, 108 South Rath Avenue.  The purpose of the meeting will be to review the RFP process, perform a demonstration of how to complete the document online and answer questions.

“United Way of Mason County will use the dollars raised from this year’s campaign to award funds through the request for proposal process.  To date, we have raised 27% of our $355,013.00 goal with pledges totaling $96,000.00,” Lynne Russell, executive director, said.
