To trick or treat, that is the question

The decision by the City of Ludington to change its trick or treating schedule has caused some confusion, and anger, among parents. Hopefully we can clarify some of this, and also provide a look at today and tomorrow’s weather forecast as well.

On Wednesday, the City of Ludington announced it was postponing trick or treating in the city from Thursday to Friday, due to the weather forecast. A few of the Ludington area churces then announced that they would also be moving their events. The City of Scottville then announced that its trick or treating will still happen on Halloween.

Some readers asked about trick or treating in the townships. Typically the townships do not set specific trick or treating schedules so there is no official word on whether it is happening or not in those areas.

Here is the schedule that we have:

– Trunk or Treat, Mason County Central High School, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (indoors and in parking lot).

– Trunk or Treat, United Methodist Church, 114 W. State St., Scottville, 6 to 8 p.m. (indoors).

– Trick or Treating, City of Scottville, 6 to 8 p.m.

– Trick or Treating, Village of Fountain, 6 to 8 p.m.

– Trunk or Treat, Our Savior Lutheran, 6 to 8 p.m.

– Harvest Party, Cornerstone Baptist Church, 121 N. Nelson Rd., Ludington, 6 to 8 p.m.

– Trick or Treating, City of Ludington, 6 to 8 p.m.
