Performance will honor service personnel

CUSTER — A concert event Friday night at Johnny’s of Custer will pay tribute to public and uniformed service personnel with proceeds going to the families of recently passed Custer Fire Chief John Allison and Custer citizen Steve Stickney.

The show will be held in the newly renamed Vibe Room, formerly Johnny’s Big Room, and will feature Jimmy Dodson, Smoke N Mirrors, Tangle Eye, Barney Betka and Whiskey Rebels, among other bands.

The event is from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will honor military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement, EMT and public service personnel. There will be no entry fee for public employees and service members. Donations are being accepted.
