LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 51st Circuit Court:

–         Terry Dean Scott II, 33, of 21463 Caberfae Highway, Wellston, was found guilty Aug. 15 of assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and domestic violence. He was sentenced Oct. 1 to 270 days in jail with credit for 26 days served for Count I and 93 days in jail with credit for 26 served for Count II; serve five months up front, balance to be served at the court’s discretion; counts run concurrent; 18 months probation; and $1,093 in fines and costs. One count of interfering with an electronic devise; one count of assaulting /resisting/obstructing a police officer; and habitual offender, second conviction were dismissed.

–         Ryan Keith Shurlow, 21, of c/o 755 E. Fountain Rd., Free Soil, was found guilty Aug. 13 of criminal sexual conduct (CSC), third degree, person 13-15. He was sentenced Oct. 1 to one year in jail with credit for one day served; serve six months up front, balance to be served at the court’s discretion; no contact with victim; 60 months probation; and $598 in fines and costs. One count of CSC, third degree, person 13-15 and one count of possession of child, sexually abusive material, were dismissed.
