MCC lunch prices may increase 10 cents

SCOTTVILLE — The Mason County Central Board of Education is expected to approve meal prices tonight during its regular meeting. Lunch prices for kindergarten through eighth grade will increase from $2.35 to $2.45 while high school lunches will increase from $2.55 to $2.65.

Lunches sold to the West Shore ESD will also increase from $2.75 to $2.85. There is no change for breakfast at $1.50 nor for milk at 35 cents. Reduced lunches will also remain the same at 40 cents while reduced breakfasts will decrease from 35 cents to 30 cents.

The school will again purchase its bread from McDonald’s Bakery of Ludington and will buy its milk from Prairie Farms Dairy of Traverse City.

The board of education meets at 7 p.m. in the high school board room. All meetings are open to the public. The board will also hold a work session at 6:30 p.m.
