LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this past week at the Mason County Courthouse:

Circuit Court: 

– Ethan Joseph Anderson, 22, 302 N. Robert St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was sentenced for a June 11 felony conviction of controlled substance delivery. He was ordered to serve 270 days in jail with three days credit, serving five months up front and the balance at the court’s discretion. He was also placed on 24 months probation and must pay $618 in fines, restitution and other costs. Two other counts of controlled substance delivery were dismissed.

District Court:

  • Leo Matthew Whitaker, 31, of 1132 W. Fountain Rd., Scottville, was found guilty July 31 of operating while intoxicated or under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,345 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE) (completed); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend Impact Weekend and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). One count of operating with a blood alcohol level of .17 or more dismissed.
  • Jan Allen Anderson, 43, of 709 E. Foster St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty July 30 of second-degree retail fraud. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $740 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; and must attend Economic Crime Program.
  • Ramiro Trevino, 51, of 55 Fourth St., Shelby, was found guilty July 30 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to $740 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; and must continue efforts to get license reinstated. Conviction is reportable SOS.
  • Samantha Marie Guilbault, 23, of 129 W. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty July 30 of operating while intoxicated, second offense. She was sentenced to 32 days in jail with credit for two days served; must attend Impact Weekend beforeDec. 1 and follow recommendations, upon completion jail term will be deemed completed; $1,545 in fines and costs; Outpatient treatment (OP); one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) two times per week; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs. Conviction is reportable SOS.
  • Lori Margaret Snyder, 34, of 510 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty July 30 of DWLS. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years. If license is reinstated, discretionary term ends. Conviction is reportable SOS. One count of driving while license expired was dismissed.
  • Alexa J. Fredenburg, 28, of 326 N. Lincoln Rd., Ludington, was found guilty July 30 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend Economic Crime Program.
  • Jeffrey Clay Young, 43, PO Box 111, Eastlake, was found guilty July 30 of failure to maintain security (no insurance) and operating without a license on person. He was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; $855 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years for the first count; and 90 days discretionary jail for the second count. Conviction is reportable SOS. One count of DWLS, second offense, and one count of improper registration, failure to transfer, unregistered was dismissed. He was also found guilty July 30 of larceny $200 or more and sentenced to five days in jail with credit for five days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must return all car parts to victims; $740 in fines and costs; restitution is reserved.
  • James Leigh Ferrier, Jr., 20, of 1603 W. 24th St., Baldwin, was found guilty July 31 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served; $335 in fines and costs; and 30 days discretionary jail for one year.
  • Jasmine Marie Lucas, 28, of 507 MN. Lavinia St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of disorderly – allowing a loud party and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.
  • Rebecca Ann Bonnville, 21, of 708 Fifth St., Apt. 2, was found guilty Aug. 1 of failure to report an accident and sentenced to $325 in fines and costs.
  • Mathew William Sayger, 23, of 313 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of improper registration, failure to transfer and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.
  • Caleb John Wagner, 21, of 609 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of failure to report an accident and sentenced to $325 in fines and costs. Restitution reserved.
  • Judy Mae Conway, 67, of 717 N. Harrison, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 1 of allowing a stray dog and sentenced to $155 in fines and costs.
  • Michael Allan Eager, 39, of PO Box 181, Branch, was found guilty Aug. 4 of disorderly person – drunk. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $285 in fines and costs.
  • Derek Keith Latimer, 27, of 309 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; and 30 days discretionary jail for one year.
  • Dustin Alan VanDyke, 609 5th St., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation. Derek Keith Latimer, 27, of 309 N. Washington Ave., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 5 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; and 30 days discretionary jail for one year.
  • Rodney Paul Copeland, 1510 E. Tinkham Ave., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 2 of driver transporting open intoxicant. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $265 in fines and costs and 12 months probation. Conviction is reportable SOS.
  • Daniel Joseph-Meisenheimer Garber, 24, of 1566 N. Victory Corner Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Aug. 5 of disorderly person. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.
  • Christopher Lee Baysinger, 36, (no address listed) was found guilty Aug. 5 of disorderly trespassing – prowling. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $285 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and not to enter premises of Pineway.
  • Clarence Van Mott III, 30, of 716 Western Ave., Watervliet, was found guilty Aug. 5 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable SOS.

Dismissal
– Reynaldo Guerrero Hernandez, 30, no address listed, one count of failure to register as a sex offender was dismissed July 31.

– Davina Rae Southern, 32, 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 20, Ludington, one count of domestic violence and one count of larceny, $200 or more but less than $1,000.
