Mason County Press reported Saturday that a 19-year-old man had been arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a criminal sexual conduct investigation. Today, the sheriff identified the man as Dalton Willard of Manistee.
Willard was arrested Friday night in connection with the alleged assault against a 10-year-old boy in Grant Township, which took place Wednesday. Dalton was arraigned on the charges of criminal sexual conduct first degree and kidnapping a minor. He is currently in the Mason County Jail on a $5 million cash bond and is scheduled to appear in 79th District Court for a preliminary hearing on July 3.
