West Shore will honor Keillor for alumni achievement

VICTORY TWP. — West Shore Community College will honor Darla Keillor with the Alumni Achievement Award during the 43rd annual commencement exercise on Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in the College’s Recreation Center.

Darla Keillor earned an Associate of Arts – Liberal Arts and Sciences degree from West Shore in 1983. Thereafter, she attended Northern Michigan University, completing the School of Banking program in 1992.

Her bachelor’s degree in applied science with a technical specialty in human resource management is from Davenport University, where she graduated with high honors in 2001.

Keillor resides in Manistee and works as the assistant vice president, financial center manager at Fifth Third Bank in Ludington. Her 26 years in the banking profession has included commercial lending, loan underwriting, portfolio management, and bank management. She received Fifth Third’s President’s Circle Award in 2006.

Throughout her career, she has been involved with many civic organizations throughout Manistee, Mason, and Oceana counties including the March of Dimes and Chamber of Commerce. She is currently a board member of the First Congregational Church in Manistee.

The Alumni Achievement Award is presented annually to an alumnus who has demonstrated significant achievement and distinguished themselves in their career, education, or community such that they would be role models to current WSCC students.
