LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in 79th District Court:
– Christopher George Bevier, 28, of 115 W. State St., Apt. 201, Scottville, was found guilty April 8 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; fines and costs totaling $1,145; and must not purchase/possess/consume alcohol. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State.
– Tessa Marie Woodbury, 31, of 1319 Park St., Manistee, was found guilty April 9 of impaired driving and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; AHSE; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; fines and costs totaling $1,145. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State.
– Elsie Yvonne Ford-Morton, 58, of 1145 E. Wilson Rd., Scottville, was found guilty April 9 of operate while intoxicated or under a controlled substance and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; AHSE; must attend the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; fines and costs totaling $1,245. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State. One count of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed
– Nicholas Gordon Jahr, 19, of 119 Tulgeywood Ln., Whitehall, was found guilty April 9 of driving while license suspended and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; fines and costs totaling $285; and 24 months probation. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State.
– Tyler Joel Griffin, 21, of 103 First St., Ludington, was found guilty April 2 of trespassing and was sentenced to 30 days in jail; 30 days discretionary jail for two years; and $265 in fines and costs. He was also found guilty of driving while license suspended and was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail for two years; and $580 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State.
– Robert Paul Bissell, 42, of 3091 US-31, Scottville, was found guilty April 15 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail for one year; 12 months probation; and $125 in fines and costs.
