April 18, 2013

LUDINGTON — Ludington city councilor Kaye Ferguson Holman has announced she is running for mayor. Holman is the third person to announce they have taken out a petition to run for mayor. The other two people are Dave Kosla and former councilor A. Pete Engblade.

“I am announcing that I have taken out a petition and I intend to win,” Holman told MCP. We reported earlier this week about Kosla’s announcement. See more details here.

Engblade, a retired Ludington police captain, has also made it known that he is running for mayor.

Petitions are now available in the City Clerk’s Office for the Office of the mayor, clerk, second ward councilor, fourth ward councilor, and sixth ward councilor. Petitions are due back to the City Clerk by May 14 at 4 p.m. The primary election is  Aug. 6 and the general election is Nov. 5.
