LUDINGTON — The following proceedings took place this past week in 79th District Court at the Mason County Courthouse.
– Kayleigh Lynn Clark. 23, of 103 First St., Ludington, was found guilty April 4 of driving while license suspended and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State. She was also found guilty of improper registration and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.
– Christopher Alan LaBelle, 37, of 4988 Elmwood, Muskegon, was found guilty April 5 of failure to display a proper license and was sentenced to $275 in fines and costs and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.
– William Craig Buchanan II, 26, of 7736 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was found guilty April 9 of failure to report an accident. He was sentenced to fines and costs of $325.
– Nathan Edward Bates, 19, of 4015 W. Dewey Rd., Ludington was found guilty April 9 of alcohol MIP (minor in possession), third/subsequent. He was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for 18 days served; 60 days discretionary jail for two years; $580 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; must attend AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) three time a week for two years; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random PBTs (preliminary breath tests). Conviction is reportable to the Secretary of State.
– Nicholas Gordon Jahr, 19, of 119 Tulgeywood Lane, Whitehall, was found guilty April 9 of malicious destruction of personal property. He was sentenced to 75 days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,387.41 in fines, costs and restitution; one year discretionary jail for two years.
– Chelsea Rae Robison, 22, of 1028 Brandy Lane, Ludington, was found guilty April 9 of domestic violence. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; fines and costs of $580; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must complete the Hands-Down Program; and no contact with victim.
– Bethany Sue Schuler, 31, of 2828 Lena Dr., Lot 542, Ludington, was found guilty April 9 of stolen property receiving and concealing. She was sentenced to $580 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must complete Economic Crime Program.
– Nicholas Brian Lauterwasser, 20, of 25 S. Walhalla Rd., Fountain, was found guilty of malicious destruction – boundary markers/lamp posts and children contributing to delinquency. One count of malicious destruction – boundary markers/lamp posts and one count of children contributing to delinquency were dismissed. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 60 days served; fines, costs and restitution totaling $1,166; 90 days discretionary jail for two years; and may not have any contact with co-defendants.
– Corrie Lynn Cook, 35, of 711 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty of controlled substance possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail; $580 in fines and costs; driver’s license suspended one year/restricted 305 days.
