3 sentenced in circuit court

LUDINGTON — Three people received sentences in 51st Circuit Court last week. They include drug charges, a probation charge and a larceny to a building.

– Jon Howard McKinley III, 23, 1388 W. Sugar Grove Rd., Victory Twp., was sentenced to prison on Jan. 22 for a probation violation. The probation violation stems from being found guilty on Nov. 9, 2010 of fleeing a police officer third degree, operating a vehicle on a restricted license and unlawfully using a motor vehicle. He was ordered to pay $10,714.29 in fines and restitution. He was also found guilty on Dec. 18, 2012 for weapons possession and habitual offender and received 270 days in jail.

– David John Cherry, 50, 807 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington was sentenced on Jan. 22 for operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor third offense and habitual offender. He was found guilty on Nov. 13, 2012 and received 2 to 7 years in prison and $198 in fines. He also was sentenced for possession of methamphetamine, controlled substance possession of narcotics and habitual offender. He received 1 to 15 years in prison on the first count and 1 to 3 years prison on the second count, along with $266 in fines and restitution. Sentences are to run concurrent. Counts of OUIL, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and habitual offender were dismissed.

– Meredith Nicol Lowrey-Loreson, 37, 903 N. Emily St., Apt. B-2, Ludington, was sentenced Jan. 22 for larceny of a building. She was found guilty on Dec. 18, 2012 and received 90 days in jail, serving 29 days up front and balance served at court’s discretion; 18 months probation and $448 in fines.

– A charge of domestic violence against Wendy Lou Griffin, 39, 907 S. Madison St., Ludington, was dismissed on Jan. 25.
