Agenda for MCC School Board meeting, Aug. 13, 2012

In an effort to keep the public better informed, Mason County Press will publish agendas and board packets for local public meetings. As citizens of a republic, we are represented by elected officials. These elected officials and the employees of tax funded entities are answerable to the populous.

Section 6 of the Michigan Open Meetings Act allows for any citizen to receive this information upon written request to the entity. We have made that request to several local governments and will pass it on to you. In most cases we will allow you, the reader, to read the original documents, rather than us re-writing it for you. Only in cases when there is a major issue will we write a more detailed story, most likely a story that gives background to the agenda issue.

These agendas and packets will be found under the category, “Government.”

Attached is the agenda for the regular meeting of the Mason County Central Board of Education, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m.
