Full-Time Police Officer

The City of Scottville, Michigan is currently looking to fill an opening for the position of full-time police officer. Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years of age and M.C.O.L.E.S. certifiable at the time of employment. An Associates Degree in Criminal Justice is desired, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. They must possess a valid Michigan operator’s license with no restrictions, and be able to pass an extensive background, written, physical, and psychological examination as well as an oral assessment and drug screening.

Salary is Dependent on Qualifications (DOQ), with a 2020 salary range for the position of $47,600 – $57,120. The position includes a competitive benefit package, health insurance, dental, short-term disability, life insurance, a City Defined Contribution Pension Plan, and a MERS 457 with a City match of up to 6%.
