ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR POLICE OFFICER POSITIONS

The City of Ludington (pop. 8,100) is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The Department is looking to fill one part-time position by May 2019 and likely one or more full-time positions within the next year.   

Applicants must be licensed/licensable by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards. Competitive wage and benefit package, including defined benefit pension (at age 50 w/ 25 yrs. of service).

LATERAL ENTRY: New hires of Full-Time Police Officers with a Minimum of 2 years continuous full-time MCOLES Certified Officer experience start @ two-year pay step.
New hires of Full-Time Police Officers with a Minimum of 5 years continuous full-time MCOLES Certified Officer experience start @ three year pay step.
