Bookstore & Café Part- Time Retail Team Leader, West Shore Community College

Our popular and busy College Bookstore & Café is seeking a Part-Time Retail Team Leader to help oversee the efficiency of our store and office.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sale events, social media marketing and providing training and support to Sale Associates while working collaboratively with the management team.  Behind the scenes the Retail Team Leader will oversee retail operations, including visual merchandising, web page maintenance, inventory management. This position is non-benefit eligible and hours will vary weekly, not to exceed 28 hours per week. Pay rate is $13.70 p/hr.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills
• MS Office Proficiency
• Ability to maintain a customer-focused environment
• Able to work collaboratively as a part of a team
• Willing to work a flexible schedule schedule including occasional evenings and weekends
• Basic math skills
• Physically able to twist, climb ladders, kneel, sit, and lift 30 lbs.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• 2 years’ experience in retail operations and/or professional office management
• Ability to delegate tasks to team members
• Ability to lead team members in daily operations
