LUDINGTON — A 35-year-old woman was sentenced to 14 months to 20 years in prison for convictions of methamphetamine possession and third-offense habitual offender in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Brittney Jane Printiss (no address listed) has “a long history” of criminal activity, said Judge Susan K. Sniegowski. “We’re at the end of the line here,” said Judge Sniegowski. “The prison commitment is the only alternative at this time.”

Printiss pleaded guilty last August, and the offense occurred June 22, according to court records. She was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison in 2016 in Alcona County for a conviction of breaking and entering with intent, according to Michigan Department of Corrections records, and a two-year term for two counts of delivery/manufacture of cocaine less than 50 grams in 2010 in Alpena County.

Mason County Prosecutor Lauren Kreinbrink said Printiss also has 14 prior misdemeanor convictions.

She received credit for 105 days served in jail.
