WSCC main campus remains closed due to power outages.

VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Classes at West Shore Community College started at the beginning of this week, only to be cancelled due to power interruptions, likely caused by recent storms. The main campus will remain closed until Tuesday, Sept. 7, due to power interruptions. Classes there are expected to resume on Wednesday, Sept. 8.

Classes scheduled at the Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital location, the Manistee Downtown Education Center, and the Riemer Regional Public Safety Training Center will resume Thursday, Sept. 2.

Many college computer systems are down and work is being done to bring them online as soon as possible, according to college spokesperson Crystal Young.  With the loss of several systems, some communication channels are not functioning and may be causing problems receiving or sending email, receiving RAVE alerts, or connecting to Canvas.  Instructors will communicate with students as soon as the systems are back online.
