The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Saturday, July 24, 2021:

  • 12:27 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 25-year-old Fountain man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI), Darr Road near Decker Road, Sherman Township.
  • 10 a.m., (MSP), a 24-year-old Baldwin woman was cited for improper license plate and unregistered vehicle, Ludington Avenue near Nelson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 6:09 p.m., (MSP), an 89-year-old Illinois man was cited for violating the basic speed law following a two-vehicle crash involving minor injuries, Lakeshore Drive near Jagger Road, Hamlin Township.
  • 7:15 p.m., (MSP), a 27-year-old Baldwin man was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), US 10 near Quarterline Road, Amber Township.

Monday, July 26, 2021:

  • 9:43 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Meyers Road and First Street, Amber Township.
  • 1:16 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:53 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of a generator, 2900 block of North Victory Corners Road, Victory Township.
  • 11:17 p.m., (MSP), a 37-year-old Manistee man was arrested for OWI and transporting open intoxicants, Old Free Soil Road near Morton Road, Grant Township.
